Soft and super moist Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies – Yeeeesssssss!!
Like many of you, I love a delicious chocolate chip cookie. I’m not talking about any chocolate chip cookie, I’m talking about soft and moist chocolate chip cookies. You know, those day old chocolate chip cookies that taste like they just came out of the oven. Now, that’s when you know you’ve come across a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe. I just can’t tolerate those chocolate chip cookie recipes in which the cookies are soft as soon as you take them out of the oven and after ten minutes they become crispy and the next day they’re hard as a rock. Yep, zero tolerance.
I’ve tried quite a few homemade chocolate chip recipes. Some require one too many ingredients, and as you know I’m all about using less ingredients while still capturing that wonderful taste. Now, there’s one homemade chocolate chip recipe that inspired me and one that I fell in love with and that’s the one by Lindsey over at Pinch of Yum.
It’s by far my favorite. When I first came across the recipe, I thought hey I can deal with 9 ingredients. It’s simple, requires a little over a handful of ingredients, and the result was EXACTLY what I had hoped for. The first time I baked these cookies I was hooked and the kids… need a say more.
Since we will be gathering with friend’s over Labor Day weekend, I decided to whip up a batch of Mini Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies. I thought this size would be perfect for the kids that would be attending. Most of the time when I go to gatherings, I’ve noticed that kids tend to waste food. Sometime they grab too much or they go for the biggest cake, cookie or whatever it may be. They take one bite and leave the rest on their plate which will eventually be thrown away. So, these Mini Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies would be perfect.
I bet these will be a big hit. I’m glad that I decided to kick these chocolate chip cookies up a notch by crumbling oreo cookie on top. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and oreo, a perfect combination – right?
Wow, just a few minutes to prepare the dough, 8-10 minutes to bake and the end result is perfection. You can’t beat that.
In my next batch of chocolate chip oreo cookies, I will add chocolate chucks and walnuts to this rich, thick, delicious cookie dough.
If you get inspired by this easy recipe, let me know. I’d love to hear your comments.

Scoop cookie dough unto cookie sheet and barely flatten the top using 2 fingers.
Bake and watch closely (DO NOT OVER BAKE). Cookies may look as though they are not done and that's okay as they will continue baking on the cookie sheet when they are removed from the oven. Just wait patiently for about 5 minutes and ENJOY.
Store any left over cookies in a zip loc bag.
Tip - Bring your egg to room temperature quickly by placing in a cup of warm water for 10 minutes.
