How to Bake Sweet Potatoes Fast - A foolproof method for baking the most tender baked sweet potatoes. This healthy dish can also be served as a dessert.
Preheat oven to 430 degrees
Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Wash each sweet potato really well. Pierce each sweet potato a few times with a fork or small steak knife
Place sweet potatoes on prepared baking sheet
Check for tenderness after 35 minutes. If the potatoes aren't fork tender, allow for an extra 5 to 10 minutes
Once potatoes are tender, remove from oven. Slit each potato down the center and top with the brown sugar spice mixture. Add other topping such as walnuts and a drizzle of agave (optional)
Allow 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the sweet potatoes.
Although walnuts are high in fat, they are considered a good source of fat.
