This Citrus Hibiscus Drink is made with hibiscus tea and citrus juices that when combined tastes, fruity, citrusy and slightly sweet. Think of this as your new favorite drink for entertaining this summer.
8ozorange juice(from concentrate or not from concentrate)
2tablespoonlemon juice(freshly squeezed juice from a lemon)
2tablespoonlime juice(freshly squeezed juice from a lime)
2tablespoonorange juice(freshly squeezed juice from a sweet orange (such as cara cara or your favorite type of orange))
mint leaves(fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional))
Instructions
Bring water to a gentle boil. Then follow instructions on hibiscus tea packaging.
Allow tea to come to room temperature then pour into a pitcher and place in the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour up to 24 hours.
Place crushed ice into glasses then fill ½ way full with cold hibiscus tea; ½ way with orange juice, squeeze juice from half a lemon then juice from half a lime. Also, squeeze juice from a half orange. Make sure the orange is sweet.
Garnish with fresh mint and/or orange slice (optional).
Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Purchase a quality hibiscus tea for the best flavor.
Feel free to prep this drink ahead by making the hibiscus tea, bringing it to room temperature then placing it in the fridge the day before to chill overnight.
The next day, remove the hibiscus tea from the fridge and follow the instructions.
