This Chocolate Brownie Trifle is a chocolate lover's dream. It's a healthier version made with applesauce instead of oil or butter. I can't even begin to tell you how luscious and decadent this dessert is.
2boxesbrownie mix(Choose your favorite brand or make homemade)
1large boxinstant chocolate pudding(Choose your favorite brand or make homemade)
1small boxinstant chocolate pudding(Choose your favorite brand or make homemade)
2cupswhipped cream(Choose your favorite brand or make homemade)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brownies
Prepare baking dish with parchment paper while overlapping the sides, so it will be easier to lift the brownie from the baking dish also lightly spray the parchment with cooking spray.
Follow the instructions on the back of the brownie box.
When brownies are done, use the overlapping parchment to lift the brownies out of the baking pan. Place on wire rack to cool completely.
When brownies have cooled completely, cut into cubes or small squares.
Chocolate Pudding
Follow instructions for making instant pudding
Assemble
Layer the bottom of the trifle dish or whatever dish you choose with half of the cubed brownies. Top with half of the pudding, layer with the other half of the cubed brownies, top with the other half of the pudding. Top with whipped topping.
Garnish with crumbled brownies, shaved or grated chocolate, or chopped nuts for texture.
Chill in fridge for at least 2 to 4 hours or overnight.

If you're using boxed pudding, pour the milk in the mixing bowl first then gradually add the contents from the box while whisking vigorously. This technique will prevent lumps from forming in your pudding.
